ITEM: Antique and vintage photo album of Winand and Levering family photos. WHEN MADE: Late 1800s through 1970 SIZE: The photos range in size from 4" x 5" to 12 1/2" x 9 1/4" CONDITION: Most of the 42 photos are identified on the back with names of the persons photographed along with some that identify where they were taken and/or the years they were taken. The album includes mostly Family Reunion photos, Class and activity club photos from schools, older 1800s sepia tones family photos from farms/homesteads, a photo postcard and some snap-shots. The photos include 30+ family reunion photos, 12 of which are at least 8" x 10", and range in years from 1947-1970. The photos are of professional quality as one of the family members (in-laws) had their own photography business. The family is from the Mount Vernon, Fredericktown, Ankenytown, Sparta and Chesterville, Ohio area. Some of the family Reunion photos were taken at Leedy Park in Ankenytown, Ohio, Wayne Grange Hall in Fredericktown, Ohio and some are from Sparta High School (Now Highland High School) in Sparta/Marengo Ohio. Other family names included are Jewell, Barnhill, Rhoads and many more in the school photos. There are several 1800s photos with names including a Winand family photo on the homestead settled by Great Grandfather in 1822 and another identified family homestead photo of the Leverings with kids and mom (Maiden name Winand). Only one of the photo mount 1800s photos has noticeable damage and it is confined to the card. Most of the others have been stored in the photo album and were held in place with photo corners so they are easily removed. DESCRIPTION: This is a fantastic collection full of wonderful photos and family history. I purchased this piece at a Central Ohio sale full of unusual antique and collectible items.
