That is the sorry state of much of the preaching in the modern church. JOEL OSTEEN is just another example of a "minister" who is presenting a diluted message. There are many others who are doing the same thing. I am a full Gospel preacher and evangelist for over 35 years. I am a Spirit-filled Jew and have preached in over 3000 churches all over the world. My friend, the core of the Gospel is the CROSS of Jesus Christ. He came to die for our sins. He calls us to repentance and total trust in His finished work on Calvary. A message that doesn't talk about sin, repentance, heaven, hell and judgment to come is NOT a Gospel message. It may be a "positive thinking" or "motivational" message but it is not the message that Peter and Paul preached.
