I sold many, but it was difficult to make, so I stopped making them available for public sale. Since then I have worked on the details that were in my way of making them in a reasonable amount of time without reducing quality. It’s a full leather collar with no visible metal or rivets except for the stainless D ring in the front (not even on the inside of the collar can you see metal). At first glance the 2-inch width and almost 3/4-inch thickness make it look really heavy, but its not, less than a pound. It’s several layers of leather that have steel inserts for the locking part deeply imbedded within the collar. We make all of the leather and metal components other than the D ring and allen head bolt. This collar is sized for 16.5 inches (about 42 cm) but is not tight at that size. The leather is fairly pliable but should not be bent beyond the point of placing the collar on. Once locked down it gains strength through the geometry of its structure. The single seam in the back is a bit confusing at first glance. It must be examined to understand how it locks in place. A small hole on the underside of the collar is where an allen head bolt is deeply recessed in the collar. Can’t see or touch the bolt, so tampering is not really an option. The photo is a stock photo and the collar being sold will not be the same one. It will be the same overall design and color etc. These are hand made so time is involved.
