Parrot     Description: Click picture to enlarge Click picture to enlarge Click picture to enlarge Click picture to enlarge The Parrott Tarot Deck Colorful, Nonviolent Deck of Fortune Telling Cards   The artwork on these cards was designed by New Mexico artist Margaret Parrott with the guidance of her son, tarot scholar Thom Parrott. The imagery of this deck generally follows the Golden Dawn tradition, except that there is less graphic violence. Also, the colors on this deck are probably the most vibrant I have seen on any tarot deck.   While the usual deck consists of 78 cards, the Parrott deck includes 4 new face cards, the Mentors, who represent teachers and teaching, healers and healing, guides and guiding. If you prefer the traditional 78 card deck, you can always put these four cards aside.   The bottom of each card contains much useful information regarding the significance of each card - zodiac and planetary signs, Hebrew letters and numbers corresponding to the path on the tree of life, one word meanings (I believe they are the same as in the Crowley deck), musical notes (Thom wrote an article on the "Musical Qabala"). Also, each card contains a small parrot illustration in the lower right hand corner - (this was Margaret's idea). The generously sized cards measure 2-3/4" x 4-1/4". A guide showing brief tarot reading instructions, a tarot spread and meanings for all the cards is included. Deck is new from the printer, although not shrink wrapped .
