A banner left & below of the casket makes reference to the Sons of St. George. The gentleman was likely a member of this old fraternal order. Most members of this order were of English descent & many were involved in the mining industry. His name, William Critchley, appears in the framed monument picture on the wall in far left of photo. There is other information in this picture, but it would take more magnification to read it. The matte & photo are about 13 1/2 in. X 11 1/2 in. Matte has a light, pebbled texture & some blue trim with designs. Age of photo is unknown. Selling as is. More photos available on request, if needed.
