Also, from time to time depending on the email account you use, your email provider may put my email in the spam folder so if you’re looking and you know I have sent the code check your spam folder.  This does not happen a lot but only every once in a while, so it is worth mentioning.  I don't know why some servers do this, but what I do too is send you a notification of me emailing the code through the eBay messaging system too, along with the code typed in there.       Also another important note: These codes are ONLY good in the 50 U.S. states, DC, Canada, Puerto Rico. Here is the information I received form Xbox Live Customer Support when I asked about using U.S. bought codes overseas.  Beginning May 2007, the Xbox Live service started to restrict the download or purchase of content based on geographic location of their console.  Xbox Live will determine the user’s geographic location based on their console’s IP address upon login. If the content the user is trying to obtain is restricted in their geographic location, Xbox Live will block the purchase or download from occurring.  Upon blocking content, the user receives the following error message: This item is not available from your current location.  Licensing Compliance will primarily affect Video Marketplace content, as it is licensed only for U.S. distribution. Additionally, gaming content will be restricted based on government regulation. There are certain countries, such as Germany, where that content cannot be viewed per government regulation.  U.S. military bases should not be affected by this policy due to the fact that Xbox LIVE worked with the Department of Defense to get as many bases immune from the restriction as possible. If you have restrictions on certain content while playing from a U.S. base located outside of the U.S., you should have your case escalated to your base's commanding officer to have your connection placed on the official Department of Defense's network.
