Wallet of X-Pole tools Step-by-step guide to installation Step 1 - Check the contentsRemove all the parts from the box, lay them out, identify them and check the contents.   Step 2 - Choose a Pole locationSelect the pole location, measure the ceiling height and place the base in postion.   Step 3 - Choose your extensionsUse the height chart to select any extensions (if required).   Step 4 - Locate the ceiling joistsLocate the ceiling joists by tapping with a finger or using a stud/joist locator. Adjust the base position to mid point between the joists.   Step 5 - Fit the extensions to the base (if required)Attach any extensions to base insert. Extensions always fit at the bottom of the pole smallest first.   Step 6 - Attach lower main pole.Screw the lower main pole onto the extension or base insert. Tighten firmly by hand.   Step 7 - Prepare Adjuster rodTake off the adjuster cover tube and wind the adjuster locking nut to the top of the adjuster.   Step 8 - Fit adjusterScrew the adjuster into upper main pole until the nut touches the top of the pole.   Step 9 - Fit adjuster coverSlide adjuster cover into position just covering the O-ring.   Step 10 - Attach the Upper DomeSlide the upper dome onto adjuster shaft. X-Pole uses a long adjuster shaft with 3 bearings to lock the dome at 90 degrees to the Pole.   Step 11 - Fit the poles togetherAttach upper pole assembly to lower pole. Screw up tightly and hold vertical.   Step 12 - Tighten AdjusterUnscrew the adjuster by hand until it is firm against the ceiling. Make sure the upper dome is flat.   Step 13 - Tighten the tubesUsing the tightening and release rods tighten the pole sections firmly but not over tight.   Step 14 - Final checkTighten pole adjuster with spanner until it is really firm. Check for movement and retighten if there is any movement.   Step 15 - Fit adjuster CoverSlide the adjuster cover up, press in the two sprung pins and lock in place   Step 16 - Ready to go!After a final check for movement X-pole is ready for use. Where ever it's used X-Pole is up and ready for action in minutes. Will it damage my floor? X-Pole has a soft silicone pad around the base. This gives excellent adhesion to virtually any surface and also stops any damage. As with any pressure pole it is possible that marks may occur but these can be rubbed off. What height will I get in the box? Unlike other poles X-Pole does not need to be cut to height so it can be moved to different height venues. The box will allow you to construct a pole from 2235mm (7' 4" 0r 88") to 2745mm (9' or 108"). To go higher extensions are added. How long does it take to put up? Once the height has been measured and the extensions selected the X-Pole takes no more than 10 minutes to erect for the first time -that's reading the instructions at the same time!
