It had to be a quality piece of machinery that would be easy to maintain. Replacement parts for this machine are readily available; bearings, motor, speed control, shafts, snap rings, etc. are all STANDARD parts and are available from R&S or McMaster Carr and any local bearing house.               The R&S Machinery label rewinder was designed for the pressure sensitive label applicator who is constantly finding that they have rolls of labels that need to be rewound. It also helps in fluffing labels in the summertime when they have a tendency to stick to the back of the liners. By rewinding the rolls once or twice, you can eliminate the label offsetting problem. Label offsetting is when the label adhesive sticks to the back of the liner and the label is pulled off the liner as the labels unwind during dispensing. The machine is also variable speed to aid in the inspection of labels. You can wind through a section of label quickly, then slow down and inspect the labels and continue on as needed.               The graduated base plate allows for easy determination of label roll diameter. The top hold-down plate will control the take-up and ensure consistent height rolls. Our tensioning device creates a constant tension regardless of roll diameter.               All machines are shipped with standard 3” roll cores. Optional 6” roll cores are also available.               Our label counter is a mechanical web measuring device. It will measure the lengths of the web from clear film to opaque paper webs; this means there are no electric eyes to focus or adjust. We also include and easy conversion chart to determine how many labels are on the roll. This is a simple, accurate method that does not require you to be a computer programmer to determine the quantity of labels on the roll. The label counter is optional equipment.               I have been in the container decoration and label making industry for about 40 year.
