My grandmother and mother choose to not do so, as is everyones right to choose their own path.I had only ever been to this magical cottage once before in my entire life, it was built by hand almost 70 years ago and lies deep with a dense and mystical forest in England.  Surrounded by thick undergrowth and hundred year old trees, even in the middle of the day, it seemed like nightime as very little light could break through.  If not for my natural intuiton I would never have found this quaint cottage as has no-one else, there is no post delivered and it is not listed as a legal dwelling, and in all fairness she didn't really live there, this was her witches sanctuary, the place she could go to weave and work on the great craft without the disturbances of life today.At the end of a long and winding, barely worn in path I reached the beautiful, ornat iron gateway under a bronzed arch, completely covered in the most beautiful purple flowers I have ever seen, I have no idea what they were.  I opened the gate, it creaked with age and I made my way down the path through the small front garden.  It was so magical, a small wishing well, groups of mushrooms growing in faerie circles and beautiful herbs, wild grasses and flowers, overgrowing, but adding to the natural beauty and feel of the dwelling. The cottage itself looked fairly small, made entirely of natural stone with locally crafted windows and a thatched roof.  Arriving at the thatched porch I lifted the large and heavy bronze key and unlocked the door to what seemed like another world, a world that every Witch, Warlock or magical being could only dream to own.The cottage was almost pitch black but already my eyes were drawn to the treasures this cottage held.  I remembered there were always candles and matches kept at the entrance and quickly lit 5 or 6 candles, placing them around the hallway, all of a sudden what seemed to be a small and quaint cottage seemed to have doubled in size.There were several rooms downstairs, none of them what you would expect to find in a normal home, there was no sitting room or dining room, instead a beautiful oldy worldly group of rooms with varying uses, one room in particular stunned me.  The entire wooden floor was carved into a magic circle, a circle which would remain open at all times to give protection from the evil spirits, there were magical Pagan symbols hand carved within the circle, and important points were marked with coloured spell candles (handmade), gemstones and dried bunches of herbs.  In the centre a beautifully, carved, wooden altar holding my Great Aunts most used  tools, candles, pentagram, scrying mirror, pecil and mortar, a small cauldron, salt dish, chalice and many other tools and ingredients used to cast and weave spells and rituals over the past three quarters of a century.  In the centre of the large Altar was her Book of Shadows, it was A3 in size and had been painstakingly hand written and illustrated, it contained thousands of spells plus intricate details of each item with the cottage, outlining its background and powers.  This Book of Shadows I shall never part with.A small arch shaped wooden door led from the magic circle through to the 'kitchen', I really never imagined I would ever set eyes upon a full size, well used cauldron with a two foot sunken hole in the a solid natural stone floor where a fire would burn fiercely beneath. Holding an old fashioned candle lamp I had found, I moved on through the kitchen into a narrow hallway with several doors and archways leading in different directions, each held items of use from witches brooms, and carved wands of all types of tree, to gemstones and charms.  One room in particular was quite beautiful, from the low ceiling hung bunches of herbs and wilds flowers ready for use in any ritual. The ground floor of the cottage although filled with fairly small and cramped rooms covered a fair area and I knew somewhere there was an entrance to the attic.  Heading back to the front door I saw an area slightly darker on the ceiling than the surrounding area, holding up my lamp I saw the attic hatch.  Eventually I found a small oak tree ladder in the back garden and climbed into the shallow attic. On entering my head felt ready to explode, I had an instant thumping headache, I glanced around briefly and saw some old dolls and bears and what seemed to be gerneal bric'a'brac, I will return soon to investigate these items more thoroughly.  Some if not all are holding spirits and energies and I must separate them as their powers are overwhelming whilst all in one place. It would take me forever to tell you about each of the amazing rooms and their contents such was the qantity of goods, however, I did know that somewhere in the cottage was a hidden room and I was having great difficulty finding it.  After three hours of searching every nook and cranny I stumbled on a tree root that was coming through the floor and fell to my hands and knees next to an open fire place, and there it was, my childhood memory came flooding back, this fire was never lit, it was just filled with dry sticks and twigs ready to light.  I cleared the sticks to one side and saw that the fireplace actually led to a tiny cavern.  Crawling through on my hands and knees I entered the Witches Cave, the place my Aunt had secretly kept her most powerful and feared items, some were altar items, jewellery, rings and some ancient Witches family heirlooms and I felt the presence once  more of an array of spirits, good and evil.My great aunt had always very much liked the modern ways in which I handle the craft, and admired that I gave every day people the opportunity to own and use some powerful objects usually not within their reach.  Her will stated that I must do as I see fit with the contents of her Sanctuary and so, I carefully gathered some of the items, and shall be offering them to you.If you feel drawn to any item then the spirit within is calling you and will work for you or with you in your quest to learn of the ancient craft that is Witchcraft........ ENGLISH WITCH'S RINGFound hidden deep within the Witch's Cavern, a special, small hidden room in which the most powerful items belonging to my Great Aunt were kept, was this beautiful Ring.  The Ring belonged to a solitary Witch, who lived on the outskirts of The Forest of Dean.  During her lifetime, the majority of her weavings and rituals were performed with The Forest of Dean itself.  Deep within the dense woodland, undiscovered for an entire 70 years, the Witch, who's name will be given to the new Keeper of this ring, has a permament, beautifully hand carved, wooden altar at which she worked.  Crafted from the finest Oak tree, from the forest iteself, my Great Aunt tells me it was spectacular, and to this day still stands.After not being found for three quarters of a century, I feel it will remain undiscovered always, I do hope so. The ring has been carefully infused with thousands of spells to change and enhance the life of its owner/keeper.Spells Include;WEALTHLOVEHEALTHHAPPINESSFERTILITYINNER STRENGTHMIND CONTROLAURA SENSEKNOWLEDGEPHYSICAL WELLBEINGCONFIDENCENEGATIVITY DEFLECTIONPROTECTIONAND MANY HUNDREDS MORE....The Witch's Ring has been infused with every possible spell and is therefore a complete, energy filled vessel of awesome power.  Any spell work or casting you may undertake will be greatly enhanced by the extremely powerful spells infused within this magnificent piece.  Alternitavely if you do not partake in castings, your everyday life will be enhanced by regular contact with this magical vessel.Some years ago, my Great Aunt felt she was being called and travelled the many miles to the Altar, there she found lay upon it, this beautiful ring.
