We used these last year as we studied art/artists. These are just wonderful films each about a different artist and their art, but some even inter-twine. I have never been an art buff or cared a whole lot about my kids being versed in art but using these films gave us a wonderful springboard to study it. After we viewed each film we would pull out the encyclopedia and view the works of art done by the artist, get books from the library etc. After we watched them all we went to the local gallery where several works of art in the shows were presented. These are movies about the artists, not boring biographies so the stories stay with you.
