See the picture below of the group of funeral home furniture and supplies, and see our other auctions with titles beginning with "FUNERAL HOME ENSEMBLE" You are bidding on a used funeral home lectern or podium, generally used for eulogies or prayer readings during funeral ceremonies. This lectern appears to date to the 1970's and was part of an ensemble that included two tall torchiere lamps and a prayer kneeler featured in my other auctions. This lectern stands 43.25" high to the top of the platform, plus 6" for the lamp. Platform is 18" wide and 14.25" deep. The footed base is about 12" in diameter. There is normal wear and some oxidation of the metal parts, and the wooden platform needs to be refinished or cleaned. Wiring appears to be okay but should be replaced to ensure safe operation.
