Stanton Hammond, JD, one of the Trustees This set of maps consists of 6 sheets in total:  5 maps (lettered A through E) and a hand written index.  Each sheet measures 17" by 22".  Each map shows a portion of the "Township of Bergen" including rivers, creeks and roads.  Of genealogical interest, each map also shows the plots of land, as it was divided during that period, and includes the names of the property owner(s) and, in som cases, other information. For instance, Sheet A contains the following entries for properties along the "Hackensack (or Bergen) Turnpike": #25 - Hester Emot, Dec'd, Widow of Wm. Emot, by the Last Will of Her Father, Edmond Kingsland July 29, 1741 (Lot #25 or #26  = John Brinkerhoff -to- John J.
